Let us explain how our hardware wallet works and why you’re encountering this issue.
How the Hardware Wallet Works
ELLIPAL’s hardware wallet is designed to securely store your private keys offline and sign transactions. However, it's important to note that the cryptocurrency itself is not stored on the device. Instead, all crypto assets are stored on the blockchain and are associated with the addresses managed by your wallet.Syncing Your Account
When you sync your ELLIPAL with the app, you are essentially synchronizing the addresses from your account to the app while keeping your private keys securely offline on the ELLIPAL device. This ensures that both the app and your ELLIPAL device display the same addresses. As a result, if you attempt to send crypto from the app to your ELLIPAL device, the system recognizes that you are trying to send to the same address, which leads to the error message you received.

In short, there is no need to manually transfer assets from the app to ELLIPAL device because they are already synchronized. The app reflects the same addresses and balances that are secured by your cold wallet. If you want to manage your funds securely, simply use the app to view your balance, and the ELLIPAL device will be used to sign any transactions.
