How to reset password/recover accounts on ELLIPAL device?

When you create a new account in a wallet, the wallet generates your private keys, which are then randomly derived into 12, 15, 18, 21, or 24 easy-to-remember words. You must keep these words secure and offline as they are the only way for users to recover the wallet accounts.

Resetting Password and Accounts Recovery

The procedure for resetting your password and recovering accounts is the same.

Please follow the steps below on your ELLIPAL device:

select the drop-down menu -> Add account -> Recover via seed phrase and enter seed phrase to recover accounts on the ELLIPAL device.

Here are the detailed steps:

1. Tap the drop-down menu

2. Select "Add account"

3. Select "Recover via seed phrase"

4. Fill in your seed phrase, passphrase (if you set one), account name and reset the password.

Tips:
1.Make sure that the words are entered in the exact sequence.
2.Ensure there are no extra spaces before, in between, or after the words, other than the autogenerated space after each word. Do not add a space after the final word.
3.Confirm that every word is part of the BIP39 word list.
4.If you set a passphrase when you first created account, you must fill in the passphrase; otherwise, you will get different addresses.
5.Ensure the address type remains the same during recovery if your device version is lower than 4.0.0.
6.The ELLIPAL device supports the creation of up to 10 accounts: 5 seed phrase accounts and 5 private key accounts.
7.If the addresses differ after recovery, click here for more information.
