How to Add BTC Native SegWit Address

To add a BTC Native SegWit address, you need to update ELLIPAL device and resync account to the app. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Upgrade Your Device to Version 4.0.0

  1. Ensure that your device is upgraded to the firmware version 4.0.0.

             Follow the instructions below to update the device

             Titan 2.0

             Titan Mini

             Titan

  2. After the upgrade, you will need to re-enter your account password.

  3. Once your device is updated, click on ‘Receive’ in the cold wallet. You will notice that your receiving addresses have expanded to include three types of addresses: Legacy, Native SegWit, and the newly added Native SegWit.

Reconnecting Your Cold Wallet to the App

After updating the firmware, you’ll need to delete the cold wallet on app. Resync the cold wallet account via scanning connection QR codes with app.

  1. Select the chain icon on the top right corner.

  2. It will display the connection QR code.

  3. Go to ELLIPAL app, select 'Cold wallet' - 'Connect to Cold wallet' and the camera will be activated.

  4. Use your phone to scan all the QR codes on the ELLIPAL to complete synchronization.
  5. Once completed, view the new cold wallet account on your mobile phone.

  6. All three address types will be directly linked to the app. You can easily switch between these addresses as needed.
